About Us

My name is Savannah, here we have an in-home breeding program of Shih Tzus and Shepherds. Our dogs are family, every dog and puppy is raised and does life inside with us!

We currently have an active program for our Shih Tzus which are AKC/UKC registered. We focus on health, temperament and structure for our breeding program where our adults must meet our standards of a stable temperament, a strong and reliable structure and good genetics to produce healthy offspring. We look for friendly, stable and loving temperaments so that all of our lines produce sound family companions! All of our Adults have Genetic Panels Completed as well as Veterinary exams before being considered in our program. Our vets do a full thorough exam to ensure each dog is cleared as healthy to be apart of our program, but we specifically check for Normal Patellas', Normal Heart, and Normal Eyes.  We get this exam on every single puppy as well within 72 hours of going home to ensure you are taking home a healthy puppy. We assess every litter as they develop in order to make decisions on pairing in order to cultivate the strongest combination for our standards.

We keep up with all of our families to ensure all babies that leave us are thriving and it gives us insight monitoring the health, longevity and temperaments of our lines to warrant our dogs in our program continue to meet our standard and my goal as a breeder.

We have two Retained AKC German Shepherds Girls that may produce 1-3 litters once they have completed their health clearances VIA OFA and Genetic Panels.

How We Raise Our Puppies

Here we raise our puppies indoor with lots of love.

Week 1:

They start off being born in our whelping area where i am present with every birth of every puppy, which makes for a long overnight job! We keep puppies in a private area so mama can nourish her babies and there is less environmental stress. We keep an eye on them about every 2 to 4 hours the first week.

Week 2:

They are dewormed with Pyrantel dewormer and then they are assigned their puppy collars and identification names! We are very hands on with our puppies, we pet them, pick them all up and carry them around through out each day through out their whole time here.

Week 3:

They are given their first drink of goats milk and salmon oil mixture once a day! We put pine litter boxes in with the puppies at some point in between 3 and 5 weeks to litterbox train our puppies. I find that puppies are less inclined to confuse rugs for potty pads if you use other methods of potty training. Grass pads may also be used. Once puppies are starting to move around more we move them to a more spacious area around the house where puppies are able to see our day to day lives, socialized with everyone in the family, including large and small dogs, cats, children and the sounds of cooking, cleaning, Tv, music etc which is apart of their desensitizing.

Week 4:

We start a wet food/ goat milk and salmon oil mixture twice a day! They get their 4-7 week puppy collars! Lots of love for these fluffy polar bears. They are dewormed again with Pyrantel! Continue with daily handling and desensitization throughout the 8 weeks!.

This week we add water to our hard kibble (Diamond Puppy), mix with wet food once squishy and also goats milk 3 times a day! This week they have water access 24/7! We start weaning at week 5 because our moms aren't really nursing puppies much at this point. We brush them, clip their nails and use the blow dryer on them to make them fluffy and to desensitize them to it! We have lots of different toys to play on!

Week 6:

We get our first set of shots, microchips, and deworm with Pyrantel.  We  start on hard kibble with goats milk and salmon oil! We get our first light water bath this week! This is the first week where we pick your puppy for you, however we might wait until week 7. As a dog/puppy raiser we want to place the perfect puppy with you, while some are super fluffy and extra cute we don't want to put a puppy with you that doesn't have the temperament you are looking for! However we do keep each consideration in mind!

Week 7:

Your puppy is picked out and so excited to meet you! Your puppy is eating hard kibble, using a litter box. We continue to work and handle each of the puppies!

Week 8:

Your puppy is dewormed with Safe Guard 5 days in a row before they leave!

For Shepherds: This is the earliest your puppies can go home to you! We hope to have all of our puppies placed by this time but sometimes they aren't. Puppies are expected to be picked up or shipped out within a 7 day period. If puppies stay to 9 weeks or later it is $35 a day charge possibly including any vetting needed to be done until pick up. These babies grow very fast and get bigger and more time consuming each week!

For Shih Tzus: Puppies leave in between 9 and 10 weeks with 2 sets of shots and an exit wellness exam. If puppies need holding for pick up its $100 a week they stay (or $20 a night) and any additional vetting done may be an additional charge.

Past 8/9 weeks:

We Keep our puppies until they go to their forever homes! If by 8 to 9 weeks all aren't placed, we start leash, potty and crate training each puppy as well as teaching more basic commands with them. We get what ever shots are needed for each as they grow and wait for their forever homes to come!

This list is subject to grow and change just as our program has and will! There are things that wont be listed and if there are any questions or concerns please send us a message!
